FIPS Mouche Fly / Bead / Line Gauge.

Precision manufactured from 1mm thick, 316 Grade Stainless Steel. This gauge is dimensionally compliant with the requirements of FIPS Mouch Rules, Rule 29.4 whereby "if more than 1 fly is used, all weighted flies must comply with the measuring gauge". Supplied in an attractive shot peened, satin finish but available to special order in a low flash, satin black finish.

Please note the slight change to the appearance of the gauge in relation to the FIPS Mouche illustration is intentional and designed to provide strength around the 0.53mm line slot which has caused dimensional issues with gauges made from softer materials such as aluminium bending in this area. The stainless steel this gauge is manufactured from is significantly stronger than aluminium but by placing the 0.53mm slot closer to the centre of the gauge it becomes even more stable and less prone to bending.
